When you sign in with Google (OAuth), we receive certain information from your Google account. This section describes how we access, use, store, and protect that data in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
6.1 Data accessed
Our application accesses the following Google user data when you choose to sign in with Google:
- Email address — to create and identify your account and for account-related communications
- Name — to display your identity in the Service (e.g. profile, dashboard)
- Profile picture — to display your avatar in the Service (optional; you can change it later)
We do not request or access any other Google account data (e.g. Calendar, Drive, Gmail content). We also use Google Maps and Places APIs (Geocoding, Places Autocomplete, Maps) for address-related features; these use an API key and do not access your Google account data.
6.2 Data usage
We use the Google user data we receive only to: create and maintain your Nestio account and authenticate you; display your name and profile picture within the Service; send you transactional and service-related emails. We do not use Google user data for advertising and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to providing and operating the Nestio Service.
6.3 Data sharing
We do not sell Google user data. We do not share Google user data with third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes. The data we receive from Google is stored and processed using our infrastructure and service providers (e.g. Supabase, Resend). These providers process data only on our instructions.
6.4 Data storage & protection
Google user data we store is held in our secure systems with the same technical and organisational measures we use for all personal data: encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS), access controls and authentication (Supabase Auth), row-level security in the database, secure handling of credentials and API keys.
6.5 Data retention & deletion
We retain the Google-derived data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account or request deletion, we delete or anonymise this data within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), except where we must retain it for legal, tax, or regulatory reasons. You can request deletion at any time by contacting info@nestio.gr. You can also revoke our access to your Google account at Google Account permissions.
